The Syndrome Mag is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of promoting gender equality and educating about women’s issues through humor and satire.
We believe that humor can be used as a powerful tool to inform, educate and entertain.
Birthed in Italy in 2012, the organization has spread worldwide and we are now an international community of women writers from all different cultural, geographic and professional backgrounds, not to mention ages, religions and sexual orientations.
Together we produce an online magazine, postcards, and video content to share women’s stories and help readers lighten up through humor, jokes and funny postcards on our social media pages.
Because gender equality is a complex topic that covers a range of interconnected yet seemingly distinct sub-topics, we also partner with other non-profits that focus on specific issues under the larger gender equality umbrella. Our goal is to help them spread their message in a way that is accessible, engaging, and allows the message to be noticed: with humor.
