Vanessa Newman

Vanessa Newman, M.S., began her writing career at the age of eight when she penciled her first 26-page novel. Unfortunately, it received neither parental nor peer approval. She dared to write again during college and has been published in IDEA Fitness, The Teaching Professor, Rocky Mountain Fitness and Women’s Edition magazines. She has also created web-based courses for companies like SkillSoft and Anheuser-Busch. In 2015, she received 2nd prize in a Flash Fiction contest from Rogue Valley Messenger for her entry, “Walkabout.” She currently teaches at Rogue Community College in Oregon and is writing children’s books and light-hearted contemporary women’s fiction.
